Last night I made a very specific scientific discovery.  In the darkness of night I was still able to view the pavement due to the public utility system lighting the streets from overhead.  Furthermore, I was wearing a state-of-the-art l.e.d. headlamp so that I could see the minutest of details.  No other scientific equipment was used because it was not needed.  I was not on a scientific expedition.  I was simply traveling through the darkness.   I made this discovery through observation and deduction through use of mind.

 My vehicle, being that of an old steel framed bicycle, made it so that I can travel onward to my destination in an efficient manner.  I was not traveling so fast, as the combustable engine may allow.  It was leisurely, though quicker than walking or riding a double axle board, which allowed me to still view my surroundings in the night with patience.

What I did notice was that everywhere an automobile may be parked by the parking meters there was a pattern of wear in the black pavement.  This wear created as I noted, are actually preliminary potholes formed from where up above an automobile's oil pan would be. 

This caused me to slow my pace.  The road was wet from a gentle mist in the air.  Where-ever I was able to shine the l.e.d. light force I was able to ascertain the presence of oil through the power of rainbow.  Automobile oil... a destructive force indeed!

But this is where I differ from the layman.  It has been said that Oil is the source of many problems politically soverign. 

The Pigs protect the Oily Money Makers for great reason!

The Oily Money Makers retrieve this substance with great haste for selfish reasons, but in the end-- we may all rest at night, for the drillers are saving all of the inhabitants of our Earth.

The fossil fuel, the crude of it, is a very powerful substance! It is slowly eating away the innards of our galaxial home!  Had we stopped at only the fat of whales we may not still be here!
All of the disputes, the quibbles, the soot in the air, is but a small price to pay for a continued existence. 

Sure! other means of energy production may come along that may prove to be more efficient.  This is the granduer of scientific progress.  Though we must commense onward, we must not lose sight of the sleeping destructor of our planet.     

We must develop a system once we decide not to use oil.  We must continue to drill.  We must be practicing physicians of the planet.  Here are but two of my ideas that may or may not be solutions:

1) Through the use of the private enterprises that are becoming space faring entities we can develop contracts with these companies to jettison the oily substance out into space as we will no-doubt produce a stockpile after we make the Big Switch.

2) We abandon all other forms of painting other than that of oil.  Yes. I realize the oil that is used currently within this artform is plant based.  I choose not to ignore this fact by producing yet another new bit of information for your mind.  There are currently a handful of contemporary artists that have chosen to utilize the common 10w-30 grade through trial and error and have produced high art results! These are artists that are selling their paintings in private galleries.  One in particular, has chosen to view her practice of 10w-30 painting as a political move.  Her paintings are now judged as "important" and she now has a traveling exhibition that will be on view in most major cities in America and beyond.

I hope that you and maybe people surrounding you may take what I have discovered under consideration and with some thought, develop a plan of action.  Currently I am alone with the subject and I cannot do much for I do not carry so much influence.  Time permitted, I will begin a petition with ideas more developed from this discovery and perhaps you, dear reader, will sign it.
